How to fix a problem with the output directory

If you you have problems creating a report, you may have an improperly set up output directory. This occurs most often when running Windows on a Mac in emulation. You may receive a message that says that the output directory has been reset to the default.

To verify and/or reset the output directory, open ESPlanner and navigate to the Customize page via Help->Customize.

At the top you will see "Set directory to use for report output" followed by a text box. Using the BROWSE Button, set the location to the directory you want to use. This can be any drive / directory on your PC. When you specify a directory, ESPlanner will attempt to verify that the directory will work. If the directory is verified OK, it will appear in the text box. If not, the default directory will replace what you entered.

Sometimes, when using a Windows under emulation, the directory specified by default is on the Mac. ESplanner's PDF report writer must use a directory that's on your Windows drive. Replace the default with a Windows directory.

When you've successfully set the output directory, click APPLY (bottom, right) to save your changes.
