Annuitization of Retirement Account
If I input an IRA of $49,875 and tell the system to annuitize it over exactly 5 years, with 3% growth, 3% inflation, and 3% nominal return -- it yields 5 annual payments of only $8421. Doesn't seem to be enough.
In fact, if I change it to a 1 year annuity, the $49,875 results in a one time payment of $34,955. Very confusing.
Must be missing something...

Steve, We'll check this out right away. best, Larry
We've put it on the bug list and will be looking at it as part of the next update cycle.

I suppose in the meantime the way to work around this is as follows;
1.zero out the IRA (or whatever portion you want to annuitize)
2.Calculate- by hand- the annual (pretax) annuity payments
3.Enter these annuity payments as 5 annual special receipts (taxable).
Make sense?
