Bug - no social security tax withheld for spouse

I posted this in the support forum but received no reply so I am trying again here.

My wife and I are new users of ESPlanner. For 2008 we entered $10,000 each for income from wages. The tax report shows FICA of 765 for me and 145 for my wife. The $765 for me is the correct total for social security and Medicare withholding, however, the $145 for my wife represents the Medicare withholding only. Why is there no social security withholding and how do I correct this?

Let me know if you need more information. Thanks.

Bill:

I'm not sure, but go to the Social Security area on the menu tree at the left and make sure you copy future wages. It could be that they entry is not copied there. Just click the "copy" button in that area.

Bill, Call me at 617 834-2148 if copying your wife's future covered earnings doesn't do the trick. We know of no bug re social security earnings. In general, if you suspect a bug, please email us at eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%69%6e%66%6f%40%65%73%70%6c%61%6e%6e%65%72%2e%63%6f%6d%22%3e%69%6e%66%6f%40%65%73%70%6c%61%6e%6e%65%72%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b')). The forum isn't the best place for posting bugs because we don't see them as soon as when you send an email.
