Contingent Planning Copy Center Bug!

The following appears to be a bug with the copy center function if the "Family" structure is "Partnered" It appears to work correctly if the Family is structured as "Married"

Using the copy center, Special Receipts are not copied into "Contingent Plans/Special" for the first partner listed in the Family but are copied for the person listed as "Spouse/Partner"
In troubleshooting this issue, I've selected Copy Center/Special Receipts if James is dead" & "/Special receipts if Diane is dead" both individually and together with the same effect: James' receipts do not get copied.

I've submitted several e-mails about this bug but they have not been addressed.

I'd really appreciate the ESPlanner team looking into this issue.
Thanks
James

Does look like there is something going on. What is the expected behavior? If Partner 1 has en expense or receipt, does it copy to partner 2?

From: donald.thompson...

Lowell,

No, my partner's expense & receipt entries copy to her contingent special table and my expenses copy to my contingent special table. Only my receipts fail to copy. When I first select contingent/special & select receipts, my partner's receipts are listed even though my name is selected at the top of the window. If I then select her name her receipts are listed. Then reselecting my name brings up a blank special receipt table where my receipts should be. Cycling between our separate receipt table does not change this behavior: her receipts in her table, my receipts no where to be found.

I've tried copying just my special receipt but the same problem occurs, i.e., they do not appear in my special receipt table. Also, they do not appear in my partner's receipt table. That appears to happen only when I copy both my partner's & my special receipts. A really weird thing occurs if I copy only my partner's special receipts. These appear in my receipts table but when I select my partner's name the receipts disappear. Switching between my name and my partner's the receipts never show up again. Notice that this is a different behavior from what happens if I copy both our special receipts at the same time as noted in the first paragraph.

Appreciate your help

Thanks
James

I see that. I was thinking about expected functionality. I'll look into it.

For what it's worth, I have also noticed a display problem with the contingent special expenditures & receipts. My items for both categories come up correctly but when I switch to my wife's items for one category (receipts or expenditures), the display may be correct or may be blank. Switching to her other category gives a blank table until I switch back to my table for the same category and then come back to hers. Now I just toggle back and forth until I see the right tables displayed. All calculations appear to be correct even though the display is sketchy.

Regards,
Bill

I've tried toggling as suggested by Bill but it doesn't work for me. My special receipt table stays empty but my partner's is correctly filled.

I do see the problem you describe. It doesn't happen all the time. I'll get it sorted out. Are there a lot of special exp.'s / receipts on the list or just a few?

From: donald.thompson...

Lowell,

My partner & I each have over 20 special expenses and receipts. Some of these won't occur if we die earlier than the age we've selected in "assumptions/demographics"

Whoops,

2.9.68 Fixed the problem where partner #1's special receipts was not being copied but introduced another bug.

When I copy "Special Expenditures if James (partner#1) is dead" the data appears only in partner#2's "Contingent Special Expenditures" table. If I then "Clear Grid" & copy only partner#2's SE, her SE are NOT copied but partner#1's are copied into partner#1's table. Copying both partners SE results in partner#1's data in both tables.

There's a different problem with Special Receipts. Copying Special Receipts results in partner#1's data copied to partner#2's table and partner#2's data in partner#1's table.

I hope this is any easy fix
Thanks
