Current Savings - Loan Payments - how to use?
I had a short-term loan in 2009-2010 that I paid off in 2010. The loan was not treated as a mortgage so it doesn't really show up anywhere as a liability in ESP. At first I put the payoff amount in as a Special Expenditure and things seemed to come out right. Then I decided to move it into the apparently more appropriate Current Savings - Loan Payments Apart from Mortgage -- but it didn't work out.
The result was (assuming a loan payoff of $70k) that my Regular Assets for 2010 were increased by $70k. This threw off later calculations, as the program assumed I had that money available. I looked for someplace to put the $70k loan in as a liability, so the program could apply the payment to that and realize that my assets were not increased, but I couldn't find anything.
How is the "Loan Payments Apart..." field supposed to be used? Is there someplace that a non-mortgage loan is supposed to be entered?
