Database still shows 2009 as first year for analysis
I just set up a new file for a client and noticed that the program is defaulting to 2009 as the first year in the analysis. My computer's date and time are correct (March 2010). Am I missing something?
Thanks,

I had the same issue. Dick solved it for me as follows:
See if Help->Customize->Customize ESPlanner has override actual year checked and set to 2009.
Yes, that's probably it.
Should we include a reminder that the override is on somewhere in the next release? This is a common enough problem
On a slight tangent, I notice that even though all of my spreadsheet outputs show 2010 as the first year , the UI in the Monte Carlo "Implement Portfolios" tab shows 2009 in the "Portfolio Choice" grid, though it won't let me enter anything for that year (it includes the "Default" porfolio in all accounts).
I assume it's a UI quirk (due to a profile rolled over from last year), but it's slightly unnerving.
Yeah, I've notice that and I thought that I had mentioned it to Lowell. I don't think it's dangerous (at least it hasn't caused any problems when I've been working other issues with databases that have this issue) but it is a little unexpected.
Best,

No, I hadn't noticed in testing that effect. Most grids build from the date. I'll take a look and add to my list. The design of ESPlanner is to look forward and I'm sure it's a by-product of that. That's why the locking is limited to one year. Most likely and output issue and not an input issue.
