Life Insurance in Survivor report
I'm trying to look at various levels of life insurance for myself and see how each affects my wife's std of living after I die. However, when I run a survivor report it doesn't seem that the current life insurance benefit (which I entered in the basci profile) is ever paid out. The policy amount (over $1,000.,000) never shows up as an asset for her? Why is this?

The amount of life insurance you report that you own in the Estate panel input is not factored into the reports. It's only used for comparing what you really need with what you happen to presently own. So you won't see those numbers in your survivor report.
What you will see is the number that ESPlanner assigns you based on the exact dollar amount needed to maintain the survivor's standard of living. That will show up in regular assets.
If you want to change that standard of living should you die, you can do that in the estate planning panel. It will then report how much term insurance you need to make that happen. So this should save you from all the trial and error that you are doing now.

Thanks.
