Moving data to another computer

I need to move my ESPlanner data to a different computer. What files must I copy to the new computer? Thanks.

Easiest thing is just to copy the contents of your My ESPlanner folder. If you don't want to copy the whole thing, then you can just copy the ESPDatabase.mdb file. The folder is, by default, located in your My Documents folder.

Thanks for your reply but your suggestion did not work. I installed ESPlanner on the new computer then copied the My ESPlanner folder from the old computer to the new computer. When I start ESPlanner I get the Add New Family dialog and the status bar below the toolbar contains the message "No records have been created. Select NEW from the toolbar to start building your database."

How do I get ESPlanner to open the database in the My ESPlanner folder that I copied from the other computer?

If you missed the same location on installation to the other PC, you might run into this problem. Double check the directory the database is applied to during installation.

The problem was that the installer appended "Common FilesESPlanner" to the directory I selected during installation. Once I discovered that the database path is passed as a command line parameter I was able to edit it manually and everything now works.

That works, too. The default location is built into the startup icon when the installer is done.
