Roth Conversions - How Do I Input?

This may have been covered elsewhere, but my head already hurts.

The Roth guru (and PBS favorite) Ed Slott says convert all your IRAs to Roths NOW before the tax rates go up. But then, I recently had an in-person and e-mail chat with Scott Burns (co-author of some of LK's books) and he's not too keen on the idea.

I entered a 6-figure sum in Retirement Accounts, Special Withdrawals, Employer Withdrawals for 3 years and ran it. I'll be darned if I can find any difference in tax payouts from the regular no-cash-in reports - I was expecting a large tax number for each of the three years.

I'm 68, with two years to go before RMDs, and the taxes would be paid from non-IRA accounts. It would be nice to take a little edge off the RMDs. My due diligence of saving all those years is coming back to bite me.

What do I need to do differently?
