Self employment earnings -are these included in total income

Hi
as above.

I noticed that self employment earnings (i keyed in mine) do not show up under the non-asset income nor the total income spreadsheet reports.

Shouldn't self employment earnings be INCLUDED as part of total income?

Thanks

Hi

I see it reflected in the "Labor Earnings" report. I did 2 profiles to test out.

But both profiles did not reflect this in the Total income nor the Non-Asset Income reports.

In fact these two reports do not seem to have a Column for Self Employment Earnings--is this normal?

There is no Labor Earnings report?

I am assuming you're married/partnered and you are looking at the PDF output as opposed to the Excel output.

For example. you should see values in the total income report col 3, details/non-asset income column #2. This is the Labor Earnings column, maybe that's what you meant?

If you're not getting what you expect, send me the output by e-mail or upload the database inputs (see first reply)

hi

just to clarify, i am refering to my PDF report, specifically on page 18-19. That is the only place that the self employed earnings appear, under eg. "Husband's Labor Earnings".

I have looked at the detailed excel output -there is no self employment earnings heading in the sheets.

I was just wondering why this extra income is not reflected in the total income page. And also if this is the case, is ESPLANNER excluding the self-employed earnings in its calculation and output results?

Thanks

Hi,

In the test case we are running, self-employment earnings are properly showing up in the non-asset income report and, as a consequence, in the income report in the PDF.

If you are still not seeing this happen, please run the latest update and if there is still a problem, call me at 617 834-2148 and I'll have Lowell Williams go onto your program remotely and check out your installation to make sure the data base is parked in the right spot.

best, Larry
