Taxes (especially Federal) too high
Compared our federal/state taxes using TurboTax (for income that was primarily salary, i.e., nothing sophisticated) to the amounts calculated with ESPlanner. The federal taxes ESPlanner calculated were about 25% higher than TurboTax; state taxes were about 6% too high. Not too concerned about the state, but am wondering about the discrepancy between the two federal tax amounts.

Hello Dick,
Just checking to see if you've received my database that I uploaded earlier this week and if you've had a chance to look into the difference in the computed federal taxes.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
I'm pretty sure we got it, but I'm on vacation (started Wednesday) and won't be full time again until the end of August. I'm working through the various issues here, but on a time available basis. I'll get to it, but won't give a schedule. I have a patch of free time in about two weeks (family is heading back to the states for a few weeks) some of which I hope to dedicate to clearing up some of the outstanding issues but...I'm on vacation.
Best,
Dick Munroe

Ken,
Do you and your significant other happen to be partners (not married)? If so, I found your problem in another context. It was fixed either in the current or the upcoming update.
