Unrealistic Regular Asset Accumulation
I begin my plan with zero in Regular Assets. The next year I trade down to a less expensive home. This puts $169k into Regular Assets. Then between 2011 and 2024 that amount grows to $24,823k, even after taking out more than $10,000k, in income. What is going on? Where is this unrealistic growth coming from? I have checked my input over and over again. I even uninstalled the program and reinstalled it with the latest download, then re-did the input and checked it several times. I am running a Monte Carlo simulation. Never had problems before.

Are you running with monte carlo? What rate of return have you specified?
I didn't think you specified a rate of return when you utilized Monte Carlo, and I have not done so. I have developed portfolios for periods of time.

Nominal rates of return are inactive when you select Monte Carlo.
I changed the home sale to a later date, and kept the Monte Carlo simulation. Same outcome!

I have subsequently run the program with revised assumptions, and the error did not duplicate itself.
I'll let you know if it reoccurs.

Most likely this was a problem with the specification of Beta in user defined assets, if you have MC on. We discovered some problems with the implementation of UDAs as detailed here and built a tool to allow you to compose correct UDAs. We also changed the CE to check for the problem and not run if it occurs. Those changes will appear in the next update release.
