Laurence Kotlikoff, author of "Spend 'til The End," says that the current economy is forcing consumers to rethink conventional wisdom about investing and saving for retirement. In a MarketWatch interview , Kotlikoff said that investors need to consider at least the next five years as "short-term," and suggested Treasury inflation-protected securities as a holding place for short-term monies now.
