I received a notice about updates. How do I install it?

You have received a notice that an update to ESPlanner is available.
Updates are available on the My ESPlanner tab in your account. Just download the installation kit for the update (step 1) and run it (step 2)

If you find it necessary, you can also download the full (aka complete) installation kit at any time.

Both the update and complete kits are listed on the My ESPlanner tab here in your web site account. If you have a previous installation and find you need to use the full update kit, make sure to save a copy of your database file, ESPDatabase.mdb (note the MDB file extension may be hidden). This will typically be in the My ESPlanner directory (part of My Documents (WinXP) or Documents (Vista, Windows 7).

When you re-install ESPlanner, be sure to choose the same directory for the database file. Pay close attention when the database directory screen appears and choose the same directory. Then, restore your saved database file.

Can I use ESPlanner on more than one computer?

You may install ESPlanner on any of the computers that you own. You will need to login to this website from the second computer and download the install kit to install it on your second computer.

If you are a financial professional and use ESPlanner with your clients, we ask you to purchase ESPlannerPRO for each of the planners in your company.

I click on my download file but it says "access denied"

This happens when your annual license expires. We will send you a notice that your license is about to expire two weeks prior to your expiration day.

If you purchase the $50.00 update (for individual users) you will once again be able to download your files, including the most recent update.

You may also get an "access denied" page if you have disabled cookies in your browser or if your firewall is blocking feedback from our server.

What is the difference between ESPlanner and ESPlanner-Plus?

ESPlanner Plus includes the ability to perform Monte Carlo simulations using your asset allocations. ESPlanner Plus also includes the Upside Investing feature.

With the standard version you are limited to running the program with user-supplied economic factors such as investment returns.
